Artists Statement: Joseph F. Drury - Artist, Sculptor, and Instructor working in glass, steel, and stone at Studio 512 in the Pendleton Art Center currently producing abstracted kiln formed glass sculpture and objects of art along with wood cut prints.

His Kiln Formed Glass Sculptures “Seascape I” and “Seascape II” are now in the collection of The W.W. Carpenter Enamel Foundation Museum in Bellevue Kentucky.
Joseph has completed the design for " Waterfall IV" A 10 ft x 20 ft x 40 ft arched sculpture with pool that spans a plaza mall and will evoke with water the sound the experience of a waterfall through which the viewer can walk.
The sculpture is to be solar powered and constructed as a space frame structure of powder coat steel, Enameled glass, Lucite polycarbonate sheet, and stone. These forms will focus attention on the effects of cascading water sheeting on many levels, creating color and refraction's, which will
transform this space with energetic movement.

Public Sculpture: "Waterfall I I" A winner of the "Outside Art 96" competition was located on
the Symantec Building, Eugene Broadway Mall.
"Waterfall I" was sited on the Eugene Broadway Mall at "The New Yorker Restaurant" near the Lane Arts Council on the Eugene Broadway Mall. This work is now in private collection. "Outside Art 95" winner "Waterfall I" was sited on the Broadway Mall near the Lane Arts Council. "Waterfall. Other
Drury works can be found in public and private collections in New York, Montreal, Vancouver, San Francisco, L.A. Seattle, Eugene, Northern Kentucky University, and Cincinnati Ohio.

He is currently showing as a member artist at The 5th Street Gallery, 55 W. 5th St., The Tower Place Pendleton Art Gallery, 103 Crew Tower Cincinnati OH., The Fusion Gallery. Belvue KY., and at the Pendleton Art Center 8th Floor Gallery. And his 510 Studio. He has shown at The Water Lilly Gallery, Hyde Park, Cincinnati OH., and Salon des Refus'es, 1995, 1996, 1997, The Hult Center for the Arts, The Maude Kerns Art Center, The Downtown Garden, and The Sherman Gallery in Eugene Oregon, presenting sculpture, painting, and pastels.

Joseph offers instruction by appointment and scheduled classes on the creation of Kiln Formed fused glass, stone, and steel sculpture to artist students who want to express in new mediums. He also offers "Glass on Glass" Enameling workshops at Thompson Enamel W.W. Carpenter Enamel Foundation Museum in Bellevue, KY.
