Joe Drury uses found and saved glass to create his one of a kind glass sculptures. The glass is placed in his ceramic kiln and heated to a plastic state in and over molds. This process fuses and reforms the glass into new and wonderful shapes inspired by his years on and near the sea. Powdered glass enamels are fused to the glass sculpture to create brilliant color fields and patterns. The glass is then carefully cooled and annealed to remove all stress. This process takes at least 24 hours per sculpture. http://www.5thstreetgallery.com |

I reform found and saved glass to create one of a kind, kiln-formed glass sculptures inspired by my years on and near the sea. The glass is recycled in a ceramic kiln and heated in and over molds to a plastic state. This process re-forms and fuses the glass into new and wonderful shapes. Powdered glass enamels and fractured glass are fused to the glass sculpture to create brilliant color fields and patterns. The glass is then carefully cooled and annealed to remove all stress. This process takes at least 24 hours per sculpture ( http://www.Joedrury.com and http://www.5thstreetgallery.com ).
