Joe Drury uses found and saved glass to create his one of a kind glass sculptures. The glass is placed in his ceramic kiln and heated to a plastic state in and over molds. This process fuses and reforms the glass into new and wonderful shapes inspired by his years on and near the sea. Powdered glass enamels are fused to the glass sculpture to create brilliant color fields and patterns. The glass is then carefully cooled and annealed to remove all stress. This process takes at least 24 hours per sculpture. http://www.5thstreetgallery.com
